BOLDNESS (6) showed good early speed and raced on the pace when first-up after a spell last start before fading to finish fourth, beaten 8 lengths, over 1609m at Mahoning Valley (Dirt). Well placed and should be tough to rein in. GRAND PARK VIEW (5) missed the placings two starts back then ran a better race and finished 3.5 lengths away in fifth last time out over 1408m at Charles Town. This doesn't look as hard so he is a major player. ICONIC LEGACY (1) resumes. Was racing well immediately prior to the break registering two minor placings in a row, the latest over this course and distance. Sound record at this distance with three wins and six minor placings from 13 runs and has to be respected. COST BASIS (3) was well fancied but below his best at the last run before a break on November 9, finishing fifth over 1207m at this track (Dirt). Starts this prep with L A Batista taking charge. Top-three chance.
