THIS AIN'T TEXAS (9) looks to have come back a much stronger filly after holding a forward position first-up with a fighting third over 1100m at Nowra in the heavy (8) going. Gets the right run again and is expected to go close. REMY'S BRO (4) was unlucky not to shed his Maiden tag in two starts in the first campaign and resumes today. Tongue-tie goes on from the right gate and primed with the two trials. Shapes as the main danger. AQUILINO (1) much better performance second-up from the wide gate with a plugging on-pace second over 1000m at Gundagai on a heavy surface. Sticky gate and can play a leading role. SHOOT THE RAPIDS (5) Headwater gelding from Sagadure on debut for the Michael Gatty yard. Impressed when second in a recent 920m Moruya trial. Could have the upside to overcome the awkward gate.
