Mortlake Race 3 - Mac's Hotel Mortlake Mdn Plate
VILLA GRANDE (10) has been narrowly beaten in each of her 2 starts to date at Warrnambool, each time as the favourite. She has a superior gate this time, dons the blinkers for the first time, and in an easier assignment, she should be too good. RAMELLE (5) has shown glimpses of talent, and she will be a lot stronger this season. Dean Yendall picks up the ride, and with a couple of jump-outs under her belt, she will be ready to rumble fresh up. STARSEATIC (9) resumed from a spell at Horsham nearly 2 weeks ago, and blew out late after racing outside the lead the whole way. She strips fitter, and can figure in the top 3 this time. BRAZEN MARTINI (2) will have few better chances than this to ever win a race. Include.

Jumped at very long odds at debut, ran second last of 10 in a Mdn-Sw at Horsham on October 18 over 1400m, 11 len behind Blue Valentine carrying 57kg at $151. Won't find this any easier so he looks safely held.
