POWER PIVOT (9) gets the nod on consistency and set-up, having placed two times from three starts this season and run second at Moe last start when near the top of betting. The rise from BM56 company is a factor, but barrier one, weight relief and a winnable race set up nicely. MICKIO (3) brings the best recent win after putting away Idling Behind by just over four lengths at Echuca as a well-supported favourite, and his record with Brad Rawiller is strong. Can win again. STOLE HIM (10) has been building through a third at Kilmore and a one-length second at Moe, Should be suited to this trip now. CHURCHILL LANE (4) was dominant breaking through in a Mdn at Bairnsdale, despite early and mid-race issues and looks one capable of measuring up. JONQUIL (11) is consistent and an each way chance.

Broke through in emphatic style at Bairnsdale, winning a Mdn by six and a half lengths despite jumping awkwardly, racing keenly and being held up from the 400m. He had also been third at Tatura as a big price chance. This is tougher and the 2400m is new, but his form is heading the right way.
