SPEIR (2) ran a good race on debut at Caulfield Heath, in the market on that occasion and while no match for the winner, he stuck on well for second after racing on the speed. He'll be better for that and can go one better. SUN SETTING (9) ran on debut at this track and trip and stuck on for a good second to a potentially smart one in Tsarine. She maps for an ideal run here from barrier three and rates highly on that. BREECHES (6) is a filly by Brazen Beau on debut for the Freedman yard who looked good winning a recent jump out at Cranbourne. The late market will be a good guide. ALERO (12) resumes having been in the market on debut at Bendigo. Could be an improver this time around.
