SCARLET GENE (8) is the main danger third-up, with a last-start placing at Mizusawa and a class-drop profile, although being beaten out of sight as favourite means she must be treated with some caution. HO O SKY HIGH (10) has been improving through the campaign and comes back from 3yo COND grade, with the first attempt around 1200m the obvious question. SAMURAI TIME (3) has the light weight and was fourth at this venue a week ago, but her long maiden record keeps her more in the place mix than as a winning threat.
