His previous third behind Nishiken Bob was more encouraging, finishing two and a half lengths away after again being unwanted in the market. The run prior was a distant fourth behind Soldier Field. He is a track-and-trip winner and Takafumi Hattori has a good record on him, but recent form leaves him with plenty to turn around.

Made it two straight wins at this track when beating Keiai Purple by half a length over 1800m last start, having been clear before holding the late challenge. He had won by three lengths from D S Yell the run prior as a prohibitive odds-on favourite, so the form pattern is strong. His career and jockey records are excellent, and even without a win at this track and distance he has placed in all four tries, making him the one they all have to beat.
