MONUMENTAL (1) earns top billing after consecutive nose defeats at this track, the latest in BM61 company when near the top of an open market. He now comes back to BM51 level and his record at this track and distance is a major positive, with two wins and three placings from six attempts. MY ARCHANGEL (2) is the obvious danger after extending his winning run to three, resuming with a length-and-a-half BM46 win as a prohibitive odds-on favourite. The class rise is the test, but his track record and record with Manoel Nunes make him hard to dismiss. ZANTHAR (6) was third behind MY ARCHANGEL last start and gets weight relief, though his low win strike rate keeps him more in the each-way bracket. STATED (3) was plain first-up when fourth behind Grand Bay, but he won in BM56 grade two starts ago and has already beaten MONUMENTAL at this track a couple of months ago.

His previous run was also well held, finishing fourth but beaten over 11 lengths by Brave Bomber.
