OUR LURRINA (6) showed good early speed here last time and stuck on bravely to finish a close second over 1400m, beaten by less than a length. She is nicely placed again and is set to go one better here. WOLF GOD (3) continued his upward trend when runner-up over 1600m at Te Aroha, finishing just over a length from the winner. He has a home track advantage, and from a good gate, he can take this out. BURNERPHONE (8) impressed when winning by 3 lengths over 1600m at Ellerslie last start. She is still improving, and with Hayley Hassman retaining the ride, she shapes as a key contender despite the rise in class. Go again. CEASE AND DESIST (1) failed to fire post his maiden victory, and returning to this track, he can bounce straight back into the top 4. Each way. CIRCUS TRIX (7) is dropping back from some tough fields. Each way.
