Nicely placed to open his account. SPIDER JOHN (7) is a first-starter by Passion For Gold from Harbor Song who has thrown plenty of winners to date. Sure to be competitive despite a difficult barrier. WINSOR GEORGE (2) was out of the money two runs back when fresh from a spell then again missed the frame last start over 1006m at Del Mar, beaten 6 lengths into sixth. Nicely placed to find some form.
