MELANIE'S TIGER (3) gave the leaders a start last start and made little impact in the straight when sixth, beaten 6 lengths, over this journey at Santa Anita (Dirt). Has his share of ability. Hard to beat in this suitable race. THE KEY IS UNITY (6) has progressed nicely in his last couple of runs. Finished second at Los Alamitos Qh (Dirt) two starts back then got the job done by 0.3 lengths as favourite last time out over 905m at Los Alamitos Qh (Dirt). Needs to be at his best to beat this field but he deserves plenty of thought. MISCHIEF'S KING (2) showed good early speed and raced just off the lead before lifting to score by half a length over 905m at Los Alamitos Qh (Dirt) last start. Jose Rosario Alcala who has three wins when partnering stays on. One of the better hopes.
