SCORCHING HOT (1) has missed the frame at his last couple of outings, the latest when a disappointing sixth over 1006m at Del Mar Turf (Turf). Forgive recent form in better races. Set to bounce back this time. DRAW CLOSE (3) failed to run a strong 1207m last start after a close second over 914m at this track (Dirt) the run prior. Looks better placed over this shorter trip so should be in the finish. BRITE CROSS (5) was safely held on debut last start, finishing 8 lengths behind the winner in fourth over 1006m at Los Alamitos (Dirt). Worth noting Cesar Ortega has been engaged. Plenty of scope for improvement. Expected to do much better. BUCKY'S BOY (6) produced another moderate effort last start when 17 lengths from the winner in 11th over 1207m at Los Alamitos. Best efforts measure up so worth another chance.
