Leopardstown Race 2 - Irish Ebf (C & G) Mdn (Smullen Series)
MOUNT MERU (9) managed to keep on for a 0.75L second at the journey on Gowran Park debut under Joey Sheridan last month. With progress expected he looks the one to beat. KINGDOM OF CAMELOT (5) just missed the frame in a pair of runs at the Curragh. Well-fancied when backed into favouritism last time and would be of interest if the money comes again. Stablemate ALADDIN'S CAVE (2) was 7.5L third of five tackling the trip on Galway racecourse debut and is open to plenty of improvement. Debutant LOUIS DE FOIX (6) represents a yard enjoying a purple patch. Receives the services of Billy Lee and is feared first-up.

Raced twice to date. At very long odds at debut, 10th of 13 at Curragh on September 27 over 1408m, on heavy track; 16 len behind Raging Bull carrying 60.5kg at $81. Last start 8th of 14 at Thurles on October 8 over 1609m, 7 len behind King Christoph with 57.5kg at $126. Can't see him breaking through for the maiden win this time.

At debut, 3rd in a small field at Galway on September 8 over 1609m, slow going 7 len behind Leadlight carrying 58kg at $8. Better for that experience and looks the testing material.
