RULER ROCKET (2) looks the runner to beat after a neck second to Dublin Red at Leonora, where he started favourite and was only collared late. The rise to 1600m is the question, with no previous run around the trip, but his BM62+ win at Mingenew two starts back reads well enough for this and the apprentice claim helps offset that test. WESTERN IMPACT (4) has been placed at his past two, including third behind BOAB BOY last week, and his consistency this season keeps him in the race despite being winless from four tries around 1600m. DEAL OBTAINED (5) brings winning momentum from Landor, having won two Open races in three days, and the sharp weight relief is a genuine advantage as he moves from picnic company to a harder meeting. GOT LUCKY (3) was plain behind BOAB BOY last start, but his second to Hard Questions in BM62+ grade two back and proven record at this track and trip give him an each-way path if he rebounds. FRIES WITH THAT (6) won't be far away.
