The rise to 1400m asks something, given her two previous attempts around the trip, but the winning rider returns with a claim and her Mingenew win two back keeps her clearly on top. BLOWIN' SMOKE (5) is the danger after a one-length second at Leonora as a well-supported favourite, and his record around 1400m gives him a solid base. LADY COCO (8) comes back from provincial company after racing wide at Geraldton, with her Carnarvon third two back reading well enough to keep her in the winning mix despite the distance query. MYSTERY BULLET (9) gets major weight relief after placing in Open grade at Landor and, third-up, has the right set-up to turn recent improvement into a genuine each-way threat. ONE PUNCH (1) is next best.

Had to settle for fourth at Leonora last week, beaten three and a half lengths after sitting just off the lead and not quite finishing it off, but she had won two of her previous three and was again respected in betting. Her Mingenew win in BM48+ grade, beating Intoxicating, showed the right grit. The 1400m record is the question, but she brings the best recent profile.
