Laurel Park Race 1 - Race 1 - Mdn Claiming
READY SET (6) faced the starter for the first time and finished fifth last start at Delaware Park Turf (Turf) over 1509m, beaten 5.5 lengths. Capable of sharp improvement. AWESOME LAW (10) was 4.5 lengths from the winner in seventh over 1609m at Colonial Downs Inner Turf (Turf) last time following a minor placing on debut the run before. Goes back from a wide draw but will wind up late. Better than the last effort and deserves another chance. VENTUROUS (2) started at $3.50 last time and ran below expectations, finishing seventh and beaten 13 lengths at Laurel (Dirt) over 1207m. Beautifully placed and is sure to play a major role. IMPERIAL CHARTER (8) has been in the betting recently but has failed to break through. Most recently finished fifth over 1609m at this track (Turf), beaten 3 lengths. Deserves another chance.
