EXCENIA (3) resumes for a leading stable and brings compelling form from tougher metro and provincial contests. Didn't have the best of it in a 64 at Caulfield Heath last time, and three back kicked off that campaign with a nose defeat in a 66 over 1125m at Geelong. Has a handy 2kg claim and plenty of scope for further improvement. BRULLEN (1) showed good dash resuming with a 1.3 lengths second over 1200m at Mornington at this level. He has more to give and benefits from a handy 3kg claim. He will likely control the race from the inside barrier and is sure to give a big sight. UNOBSCURED (11) found more like her best beaten 1.3L over 1000m at Ballarat and then didn't have the best of it in a CL1 over 1200m at Pakenham last time. Maps well, and she'd be in the finish at best. The Maher yard has scratched two, and ZOULETTE (5) is left to fly the flag. Resumes off a Maiden win here and placed in his latest jumpout. Has to be kept very safe with Johen Allen sticking from that.
