Kyneton Race 2 - John Forrest Mdn Plate
BOA VISTA (7) was a $2.25 favourite for a much tougher race than this at Pakenham on Thursday night but was a late scratching mid-afternoon. Providing there were no issues and she takes her place here she looks clearly the one to beat given she's Stakes-placed and has been trialling nicely. FINCHAVEN (2) has been impressing at the jumpouts as well, though, and a couple of recent 1000m workouts at Geelong suggest she's come from the debut preparation. Barrier one looks a big plus for her. DISARMING (8) is a well-bred filly on debut and looks ready to go after a couple of Flemington jumpouts, the latest a second placing to the talented Sulek. GO GO RUBY (9), similarly, is on debut and has had four trials since the start of the year so should have a good enough base of fitness. PARIS COLLECTION (12) never seemed a winning hope on debut but has been back to the jumpouts since, so should have come on from it, and draws to advantage.
