Lindsay Park holds a strong hand here with a couple of first starters. MAD ABOUT MAGNUS (13) looks poised to make an early impression after demolishing her rivals in what's been her only public hitout of the campaign. She travelled on speed but cleared out in the straight to win by about seven lengths, seemingly with a bit more in hand. Drawn wide, but she looks to have the tactical speed to put that out of play early. FRAM STRAIT (5) was well in the market on debut and while well-held, he might not have appreciated racing in restricted room while the race was hotting up. Hit the line okay and gets blinkers here, so might pay to give another chance. Similar story with CHLOE FIRST (12) who was never a factor last start but was well in market and did run an encouraging race first-up. BLUEY MERCHANT (2) bumped into a smart one last start, when $51 into $21, so he might have turned the corner. BLUE VALENTINE (11) has won a couple of trials and draws well for the debut.
