MEISHO CLIFT (8) is the horse to beat after stringing together two authoritative wins at this track, most recently scoring by nine lengths as a dominant odds-on favourite. His record at this venue and around 1300m gives the winning case real substance, and he has the current form edge. SCUBA (7) is the clearest danger, having finished second at his past two runs, including when run down late as favourite by Tani Noble. He has been placing consistently without winning, so the task is to convert that reliability. KURUMA TORASAN (4) resumed with a third at this venue and brings stronger old grade references from a 3yo+ A1 at Mombetsu, though the margin last start keeps him more of a qualified threat.
