JUST MAGIC (11) is a well-bred I Am Invincible filly on debut for the McEvoy yard. She has looked the real deal at the Flemington jumpouts and has the blinkers on, suggesting intent. May need a touch of luck, but she finds a winnable assignment. EASY RED (3) peaks and drops back to a sprint. Has started at short quotes all three starts, and his effort two back at Mornington suggested better things to come. Will position forward and has to be considered. APPLE EYES (7) led and was cut down late beaten 2.5L over this trip at Swan Hill first up. Just missed on a heavy track at Wangaratta at her only second-up outing, and that stacks right up. Has to be kept safe at a good odds THE BOTANY FROG (6) won a jumpout but needed the first-up outing at Geelong. Was good at Werribee prior on debut and quick improvement is likely.
