YAMASHITA (14) returned from a 19-week spell with a real eye-catcher last start, coming from last at one stage to be beaten a head over 1000m at this track. Strips fitter and will be tough to resist over an extra 200m today. AVON CALLING (1) should have done better last time out as a $1.55 favourite at Newcastle, missing the placings after working home only fairly at the end of 1250m. Give her one more chance with the blinkers going back on. THAT'SALLSHEWROTE (11) warmed to the task late to get up for third on debut recently over 1000m at this track. Sure to appreciate a little more ground this time. Debutant REFUSED (6) has done enough in her trials to suggest she can make an impact too.
