Kelso Race 2 - Borders Carers Centre Novices' Hurdle (Gbb Race)

HOE JOLY SMOKE (2) was given wind surgery after a poor performance in the G3 Ladbrokes Trophy during spring. Managed a return to winning ways in a small field novice hurdle a fortnight ago at Bangor-on-Dee and expecting him to prove very hard to beat here. HANDMEDOWNASTAR (1) provided steady progress in all three starts for his previous trainer then made a quiet stable debut when a well backed favourite at Cartmel end of August. Better can be expected here tackling this small field. Needs to bounce back. HOPELESS DANCER (3) is yet to win in any of his five outings under rules. Did make the frame all attempts. Bold show expected.
