Keeneland Race 10 - Breeders' Cup Distaff Stakes (G1)
NITROGEN (2) was no match for Sovereignty in the Whitney, but she was clearly best of the rest there and backed up that effort in the Beldame last start as a $1.05 favourite. Drawn to find the front here for Ortiz and there's nothing she should be running scared from here on recent figures. Can stamp herself as one of the best Mare's in the world. FULLY SUBSCRIBED (4) has taken on Nitrogren previously, finishing 12.8L behind her in the Ogden Phipps back in June. She's been on a tear since, winning by 3.3L at this track and trip last start in the G1 Spinster. Gone to another level since their last meeting, but this is a different challenge again. SPLENDORA (8) comes in off a hat-trick of wins, finishing 5.3L clear last start in the Locust Grove. Has to be included on that effort. SUPER CORREDORA (7) won the Zenyatta easily and can improve with the fresh run under the belt. Creates interest. REGALED (3) is next best.
