Keeneland Race 1 - Race 1 - Mdn Claiming
POP AND LOCKE (3) made his debut last start and was just fair in finishing eighth at Kentucky (Turf) over 1408m, beaten 5 lengths. Fitter and the blinkers going on adds to the appeal. MAGICAL MIKEL (2) is a three-start maiden who finished tenth at his most recent appearance over 1710m at this track (Dirt) after he was well back on straightening. This offers him a great chance of breaking through. BLACK JACKET CRAZY (1) is a two-year-old colt by By My Standards out of Hottestthingintown set to debut for the Steven Asmussen stable. Should acquit himself well. Watch for a positive market lead. NIGHT KNIGHT (8) was out of the money on debut two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1609m at Kentucky, beaten 15 lengths into fifth. Will enjoy a drop in class so he is a major player.
