QUALITY SPIRITS (4) finished 11th two runs back then improved last start but found one better over 1609m at Fairgrounds Turf, beaten a nose after being in the firing line on the corner. Meets some better types this time but a win is not out of the question. BACKSIDE (3) made progress last time out, finishing 9 lengths from the winner in second at the end of 1710m at this track after being in the firing line on the bend. Well placed and there is no reason he cannot find winning ways. PUNKIN BOY (2) is back after a break of ten months. Went close to a maiden win before the layoff, finishing third at his latest appearance over 1609m at Woodbine Inner. Good effort to kick-off last prep when in the money at Woodbine All Weather over 1207m. Among the chances while fresh. HIGHLIGHTER (1) is a three-start maiden who returned last time and finished fourth at Turfway Park (Synthetic) over 1710m, beaten 5 lengths. Bold showing expected with added fitness this time.
