GUS'S GAL (5) finished eighth two runs back then improved last start but found one better over 1207m at Fairgrounds, beaten 2.75 lengths after being in contention on the turn. It doesn't get any easier but on her best form she is one of the key runners. CLOUD NUMBER NINE (8) is a eight-start maiden who is knocking on the door, the latest effort a solid third at Fairgrounds (Dirt) over 1207m after being in contention on the bend. Needs to be at her best to beat this field but she is good enough to play a major role. CHASING SUNSETS (4) resumed a month ago over 1308m at Turfway Park and was only beaten 0.7 lengths into fourth after being prominent at the turn. Taking on a better line-up this time but she deserves plenty of thought. RED RAZE (7) closed last prep three-and-a-half months ago when she finished fifth over 1609m at Turfway Park. Best figures have her right in the mix.
