ARKHIPOV (6) had a bit on his rivals last time with an impressive 7 lengths win over 1609m at Tampa Bay Downs Turf (Turf). Has good early toe so he should be handy in the run. Best form puts him right in this. NOBLE CONFESSOR (7) is usually thereabouts but finds it hard to win, with only one victory from 11 starts. Again tasted defeat last start when eighth over 1710m at Gulfstream Park Turf, beaten 5.5 lengths. Meeting a tougher field but on his best form he is capable of a big performance. LOVE'M OR LIAM (2) was too good for a maiden field last start over 1710m at Gulfstream Park All Weather (Synthetic), scoring by 1.5 lengths. Junior Alvarado was in the saddle on that occasion and retains the ride. Must be respected now that the penny has dropped. CIRO DI MARZIO (4) resumes today after filling a minor placing at his only appearance last prep at Ellis Park Turf (Turf) over 1710m on July 3. Definite top-three chance.
