Suitably placed, anticipating another big run. AMJAAD (8) is an imported three-year-old having his first run in this area for the Doug Watson yard. Last appeared when second over 1811m at Gulfstream Park (Synthetic) eight months ago. Hasn't trialled publicly for the new connections, but he is among the leading chances. STATE OF DESIRE (5) is back after a break of a year. At the last run before the layoff he finished tenth over 2200m at Meydan Dirt. Leading player on best figures - bold showing expected. VELVET CACTUS (6) missed the placings two runs back then, didn't do any better last start. He is peaking now, and steps out to a more suitable trip. A form reversal is on the cards.
