MAKAMAE (8) resumed from a break at home on the Sunshine Coast poly and got back but kept coming to just miss. Nice return and fitter for the longer trip. Expected to go close if runs to that again. HEADSTRONG (2) also raced on the poly last time but on the Gold Coast and was a determined winner over 1540m. Big chance to make it back-to-back successes. SUGARFIRE (4) has strung together a host of placings, the latest third over 1400m at Gunnedah. First try this trip but keeps coming and deserves a win. NINJITZOU (1) finished a close-up fourth here last two starts. Another overdue and looks well placed to feature again. ALWAYS DELIVERS (10) was a 1400m winner at Rocky last time and has upside. Fitter and worth following up.
