SATURDAYS GIRL (3) came home strongly last start to finish a nose second over 1400m at Gold Coast. Worked home in good style and will be tough to stop. DEFIANT MISS (5) went close at the Gold Coast on debut at long odds but was plain there after also without much support. The extra metres should suit, and a 2kg claimer goes on. A better effort is likely. LAW MARSHAL (2) was a flashing light here fresh when launching home from a long way back to just miss the frame. Better for that and has to be taken seriously this time. CLOSE TO THE EDGE (11) didn't handle the heavy conditions last time but strips fitter third-up and is worth keeping in mind.
