ANTHRACITE (3) progressed nicely last start to finish a close second over 1700m at Sonoda after missing the placings at the previous appearance. Well placed and there is no reason he cannot find winning ways. LIGHT PILLAR (5) has scored at her last three starts, most recently by a nose over 1870m at Sonoda. That continued the very strong form this campaign, with three wins from four outings. Can feature again. A SHIN ANIMO (9) travelled on-pace last time out over 1870m at Sonoda and dug deep when pressured but found one better. F Komaki who has two wins when partnering stays on. Not to be discounted.
