Haydock Park Race 1 - British Stallion Studs Future Stayers Ebf Mdn Stakes (Gbb Race)
ARTHURIAN (1) was disappointing when turned over at a short price at Beverley but remains the one to beat. Third-place finish over course and distance in the Listed Ascendant Stakes is by far the best form on offer and he should relish getting back on a heavy track. LA TORRE (6) will appreciate going up to 1600m after a promising debut third at Leicester and she looks like the obvious main danger for last year's winning trainer and jockey combination. The Michael Bell-trained newcomer TOP OF THE WORLD (5) requires consideration on pedigree alone. FLORES CONCERTO (2) needs a quick market check.

Form hard to fault. Most recently 2nd in a small field at Beverley on September 22 over 1600m, 2.5 len behind Bayraktar with 60.5kg at $1.60. Before that got back early 3rd in a small field in the LR Ascendant Stakes at this track on September 5 over 1600m, on rain affected going; 1.3 len behind First Law with 59kg at $5.50. Key runner on recent form.

Jumped at very long odds at debut, settled back and ran on when 7th of 10 at Kempton Park All Weather on September 30 over 1600m, 12 len behind Votadini with 60.5kg at $51. Doubt he will trouble these.
