Hawkesbury Race 1 - Paul 'Griffo' Griffin Memorial Mdn Plate
FORNELLI (3) Farnan mare resuming from a lengthy break after showing a stack of potential in the first campaign. Sat on the speed as the dominant ($2.60 fav), with a fighting third over 1000m at Kembla Grange 11 months ago. Has impressed in her two recent trials and maps to get the right run. BORN TO FLY (8) is an I Am Invincible filly from the good producing mare Rough Ride on debut for the O'Shea & Charlton yard. Trialled very well for this and makes plenty of appeal. MY JU JU (2) showed plenty of grit on debut from the wide gate to hold a forward position with a fighting second to Pulsator over 1200m at Kembla Grange last month. Since fitted with a 740m trial placing and maps well. Top three contender. BENSON (6) three-year-old Hellbent colt from Ambar on debut for the John Thompson. Won his last two trials in good style and sure to be thereabouts.

Three-year-old gelding (Farnan - Equal Love) has trialled on three occasions leading into today's race. Was second in a Randwick trial over 1050m October 6. Wait and see what he can do from the awkward gate.

Filly by Toronado making her first appearance. Won trial at Warwick Farm over 792m on September 28. Well drawn and can sneak into the minor money.
