CAN'T GO WONG (1) gets the nod with the strongest all-round profile. His first-up eighth at this venue was only fair, but it came in C4 company and he had been narrowly beaten in the same grade at this track two runs earlier. The move to C5, proven track-and-distance record and Purton booking make him the one to beat. KINGLY DEMEANOR (4) resumes after a four-month break and has enough 1800m substance to be a major danger. His trials coming in have been sound and coming back in grade is a big tick for his chances. Can put his best foot forward. GOLDEN FORTUNE (9) has been around the mark without winning and his latest Sha Tin sixth was sound enough to keep him in the winning mix. TURF PHOENIX (12) is the lighter-weighted improver, third-up and better last start, though the first attempt around 1800m is the clear question.
