CALIFORNIA MOXIE (8) flew home to score at this track and trip to get the job done as a $6 chance with Purton in the saddle. He draws better this time around for Purton and drops 5.5kg as he rises in grade this time around. Hard to knock his recent form and he can go on with the job. SOLID WIN (2) bounced back to winning ways here last start in a great effort, running on from midfield to win by 2L over this track and trip. He's been to the trials since to keep him up to the mark and drawing further out probably helps his chances today with his pattern. Can repeat the dose. WITHOUT COMPARE (7) has had a quiet trial since tiring from the front at Sha Tin when a $2.90 fav. The wide draw is a query, but he possess enough early speed to roll across. He still has plenty of upside to come and he's not to be discounted. BEAUTY ALLIANCE (1) was much better last start and won't be far away.
