PERFECTDAY (6) was very impressive first-up when settling last and mowing his rivals down over this track and trip 28 days ago. Purton hops on now from a better draw and he looks a very progressive type on the rise. Drops in weight as he rises in grade, but he looks up to the task and he can bring up the hat-trick. SPORTS LEGEND (5) landed just off the speed last start and landed the knockout blow in fine style, bolting in by 2.5L. Up in weight here, but the form out of his last start has been franked and he maps to get every chance from the inside draw. Can go on with the job. CALIFORNIA BLITZ (12) is another looking for the hat-trick. He rises to C3 today, but he carries no weight and should be able to find the front from his inside draw. If he can dictate the tempo, he'll be very tough to run down.
