Happy Valley Race 9 - Hanshin Hcp (C3)

STURDY RUBY (6) was very impressive when winning last start by 1.3L over this track and trip 28 days ago. He sat just off the speed there and ran away to score very nicely. Tougher here, but he drops 5kg for the rise in grade and if he can run up to his latest effort, he can get the job done again. SILVERY BREEZE (5) just missed over 1400m last start and has had a quiet trial since as he steps up to this distance. He's run well over the mile previously at Sha Tin, but he gets the winkers on today and maps for a lovely run in transit. Can go one better today. URANUS STAR (10) disappointed as favourite last start but had trialled much better than that leafing in. Purton sticks with the gelding following another trial since that performance and the rise in trip now looks ideal. Can feature. IVY LEAGUE (8) was solid first-up and usually improves with racing. Can make his presence felt in a race that looks to set up nicely for him.
