Happy Valley Race 5 - The Japan Racing Association Trophy (C4)
LUNAR DASH (2) was too good here last start, sitting just off the speed before running over the top to score comfortably. The form out of that race has been white hot and Purton remains in the saddle. Looks a horse better than this grade and he can bring up back-to-back wins. FUN TOGETHER (1) jumped the $2.70 favourite last start over 1400m but could only finish 1.3L off the winner at Sha Tin. The cheekpieces go back on today and he drops back to 1200m with Bowman on board. Looks well placed on recent efforts and can put his best foot forward. YEE CHEONG SPIRIT (8) bumped into a big winner here last start, but was very good in his own right after being wide and without cover throughout. Draws for a much better run this time around and if he can raise the bar a touch today, he'll go close. GOLDEN DREAM (4) makes plenty of appeal on debut with some nice trials under his belt, particularly his heat over this course and distance two back.
