Happy Valley Race 6 - The Hkex Cup Hcp (C3)

VIVA GRACIOUSNESS (10) was far too good first-up, getting the job done by 1.3L over this course and distance. This is a tougher race, but he drops 6.5kg for the rise in grade and that makes him an attractive commodity off what he did last time out. Can repeat the dose despite the sticky barrier. ANOTHER ZONDA (5) was only caught late over this course and distance on resumption and should be better for that effort. Wong's claim comes in handy as he drops in weight and draws a better barrier this time around. Can roll to the front and give them something to chase. EMBRACES (1) settled last but finished off nicely from a mile back to be 1.3L off the winner. Hopefully he'll be able to settle just a touch closer this time around and if he can do that, he'll make his presence felt in the concluding stages. STAR CONTACT (3) just missed in the same race as ANOTHER ZONDA when only 0.3L off the winner and has to be included with the blinkers going on.
