Looking right down the bottom here to PRO VELOCITY (14), who looks a key player if she can get in despite the wide gate and big weight. Poor last start, but nice return in a better race than this the start prior and probably better suited back to this trip. PENDANTE (7) finished seventh two runs back then improved last start but found a couple better over 2050m at Murtoa, beaten 7 lengths. Finds a suitable race and can play a major role. THE STOCK ROUTE (6) showed good early dash and raced on the speed last start before fading to finish 2.75 lengths back in fifth over 1620m at Donald. This looks more to his liking and he draws ideally. SURELY SPECIAL (5) bounced back last start and landed the prize by 3/4 of a length over 2112m at Echuca. Well placed to feature in the finish again. DUSTY'S DEEL (2) started at $4 last time and ran below expectations, finishing eighth and beaten 6 lengths at Kilmore over 2000m after being prominent at the bend.
