FASCINATION (9) is the one to beat after consecutive FM BM82 seconds, beaten half a length at Scottsville then just over half a length at this track when well-supported favourite. She has not been a prolific winner, but her recent form is the most reliable in this field and her record with Dezahn Louw is a positive. SOVEREIGN GEM (8) is the clear danger after being beaten only a length at this track as a heavily backed favourite, with proven 1000m form and solid turf figures. LOU LOU (5) comes back to a more suitable trip after a sound FM BM81 fifth and has a strong 1000m place record, though the big weight keeps her more in the each-way bracket. CAPTAIN VENTURA (6) has not been finishing close enough lately, but her track-and-trip win and 1000m record give her a genuine minor-money profile if she sharpens off the quick return.

She was beaten half a length at Scottsville before going under by just over half a length at this track as a well-supported favourite.
