Japanese bred OCEAN PROUD (10) returns for a second campaign after a five-month break. Best effort last time in work was a close third over 1200m at Ipswich. Should come back bigger and better this prep and looks to have an edge on these. MISTRESS CHARLOTTE (9) led last start when lining up for just the second time and did a good job to hold on for fourth over this trip at Coffs Harbour, beaten only 1.6 lengths. With some natural improvement to come she looks a serious threat. HUMPHREE BEAR (3) has been freshened up since leading then tiring to finish fourth on debut six weeks ago over this distance at Coffs Harbour. Subsequent trial winner who should be very competitive out of the nice draw. KERMACETO (6) is yet to fill a placing in nine starts but wasn't too far off them at Ballina last time. Each-way chance. EGYPTIAN LASS (4) can improve off a moderate debut performance.
