SCURO STAR (9) lightly raced filly with upside resuming. Won on debut at Hawkesbury, then finished second to Pin Up Sheila over 1100m at Warwick Farm last June. Fitted with the one trial and has the class to get the better of these. BALLYHOO (10) earned respect by beating Shaft Attack at Canberra as favourite, and the weight relief gives her a fair platform despite rising from BM60 company. Can go on with it now. NAVY STEEL (2) returns from a let up and the visors go on. Improved performance when back in trip to run fourth in an Open at Muswellbrook. Will go back from the gate and be ridden for luck. ZOUKERINO (12) last three runs had merit and looks close to a win. Stalked the speed with the 61kg when second over 1200m at Nowra. Anywhere near his best would see him go close.

Came off a sound Class 2 effort at Port Macquarie and converted last start, winning by just over a length on soft ground after racing wide early and then stretching out with something in hand. That was in country company and this is a harder meeting, but his 1100m record reads well with three wins and six placings around the trip. Harder meeting now, but the form gives him genuine place claims.
