TURBO TORQUE (4) made a strong return from a spell with a second over 1000m at Sunshine Coast Poly when he did his best work late. That was just his second start so has scope for improvement. Can crack the maiden win. CAT CALL (1) was runner-up at this track two starts ago then finished 1.5 lengths from the winner in fourth last time at Rockhampton. Great chance to break through. PARADING GUS (2) is a gelding by Exceedance out Lockley Parade. Cost $80,000 (Inglis 2024 Classic Yearling Sale) as a yearling. Has placed in both trials and the inside draw is an aid to a first starter. CLOSE TO THE EDGE (5) is making her debut with a couple of trials under her belt. She has a home track advantage, and any positive market moves will be worth following in.

The race before that raced on the pace when 2nd of 7 at this track 2yo Mdn-Sw on March 29 over 1200m, 1.5 len behind Blinding Speed carrying 58kg at $2.10. Looks set for another big run.
