The easier assignment, third-up fitness and proven 1800m record makes him the one to beat. SHEDRIVESABENTLEY (4) is the clear danger, with her Gatton sixth better than it reads after being held up on the home turn and steadied late, and she returns to a distance and venue where she has already won. HE'S A SAINT (3) is not winning often, but his latest sixth here had merit after a slow start, and the prior third in CL3 company at this venue keeps him in the mix. SLUGWORTH (6) has to rebound from a plain Armidale run, but the weight relief and established 1800m record give him scope for improvement. TOO MARS (7) faces a tougher assignment after shedding her maiden tag at Beaudesert but she does have upside. Keeping safe.
