QUEIN STEP (9) comes to Queensland after a couple of decent runs at the NSW provincials to launch this prep. Has raced four times over 1000m for a win and three minor placings. In the right race to return to winning form. BAKED (5) has switched from the Freedmans in Victoria to Tony Gollan since finishing a close fifth over 1200m at Seymour seven weeks ago. Lightly raced filly who may have found her right level in this sort of race. CAT CALL (7) started $1.90 and finished hard but found one better when resuming over 1050m at the poly track here recently. Yet to fill a placing in six runs on turf which is a worry, but that first-up runs shows he is back in great order. LORD OF FLAMES (4) returned from a 28-week spell with an arrogant maiden win over 1100m at Grafton. Progressive three-year-old who certainly looks good enough to take this next step. DA SNOOP DOG (1) resumes. Opened the maiden campaign with a win over this distance at the Sunshine Coast. Must be included.
