DOUBTING EYE (1) missed the placings first up recently but was not too far from the winner when fifth over 1300m at Rockhampton. Races well when second-up. Has a formidable record at this journey with six wins and four placings from 15 starts and is one of the major players. MEDIA EMPIRE (2) returns from a layoff of four months. Worth noting he filled a minor placing when returning from a spell last prep over 1050m at Rockhampton. Rates highly and is likely to be prominent. MR TANGLES (3) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1075m at Thangool, beaten 1.4 lengths into fourth. Finds an easier assignment and can find winning form. HEAT (4) ran below expectations when fresh from a spell at Gympie over 1170m last time, finishing fifth and beaten 5.5 lengths. Finds a nice race and can make amends.
