Expected to feature on best form. HOU LONG GWAI (6) returns from a short break after finishing ninth over 1100m at Rockhampton. Kept ticking over since that run with a trial win at Rockhampton. Best figures read very well. HURTLE (1) was out of the money when resuming two runs back then again missed the frame last start when he was always well out of his ground over 1212m at Bundaberg, beaten 6 lengths into fourth. Nicely placed to take this out. BOOMING LAD (2) last appeared when he finished seventh over 1000m at Clermont on November 15. Among the better hopes.
