GOMEZ (1) is the horse to beat after putting together dominant Kawasaki wins over 1400m, the latest by five lengths as an odds-on favourite. The drop back to 1200m is the only reservation, but she is race fit, in sharp form and reunites with a jockey who is two from two on her. THINKING FURSA (3) resumes after four months and brings solid Funabashi form, having finished third at his past two runs over 1600m and 1800m while well found in betting. The 1200m is the query, but the class drop and weight relief keep him right in play. PRECIOUS TOP (5) was beaten four lengths here first-up as a short odds-on favourite, yet his Ohi win two back and strong distance record make him a genuine danger. REIWA EPOCH (8) is more a place-and-value hope, coming off a big-odds third here after making up late ground, and she can add depth if she repeats that finish.
